20+years experienced Math tutor; various topics; $40/hr; $10 first

Hello, I'm Tommie Lee Starling III. Are you looking for someone to walk next to you through the school year, or do you just have issues with certain concepts? I have been tutoring students in various subjects in Mathematics for the past 20+ years. I have my Bachelor of Sciences in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Mathematics, degree from Stanford University, and I would love to help you reach your full potential, and not have to be in a cloud of confusion. I tutor: Prealgebra, Algebra, Advanced Algebra, Trigonometry, Derivative Calculus, and Integral Calculus. I, also, work with ALL AGES. So, parents, I will not let your children down, whether age 5 or in their 20s, I have them covered. You will be sent the entire session on video the we go over, so that you can refer back if you forget some points, or want to go through our journey together, again, on your own time. I highly suggest replaying at double speed. The best time to get in touch with me is as soon as you come to an impasse, that cloud of confusion that makes you want to give up. It’s still totally fine to contact me at any time, even if you have a case of a “pile up.” We will take time to work on your back work while at the same time keeping you up with the class. So, If you are serious about getting help, want to get better, and are able to commit to putting in some extra time, we will get you your confidence back and catch you up in no time! 😃 My tutees tend to get As and sometimes Bs; I’m just being honest here. I cannot guarantee to get you certain grades. The amount of extra time you take, apart from class time and our sessions, to really digest the material, the better your grade will be. I’m, also, realistic in that in one session we’ll not resolve all of the difficulties you have, but every session you will become more and more knowledgeable in your course! My rate is $40/hr, the first hour is $10, and I accept Zelle, Venmo, Cashapp, or PayPal. Our session will be held over Zoom using Zoom Whiteboards, if you are elsewhere in the bay, or anywhere else in CA. If you don’t know how Zoom works, it’ll be a lot like I’m with you in the room. To communicate, we’ll both need to have a working, and zoom configured—which it usually does on its own, microphone. You will need a tablet that can use the Zoom app and a writing implement for complete interaction between us.
